In 1980 Golden Wear began as a home based business serving care homes in and around Winnipeg. Over the years the business grew to the point where a store front was required to handle the inventory along with the growing demand for our product across Western Canada. The business continues to focus on care homes and the needs of the residents of those care homes.

As we continue to grow we realize that the need for our service is even greater than when we started over 30 years ago. At Golden Wear we strive to refine our products and service to meet the needs of an ever changing marketplace. To meet this changing marketplace we are now shifting our resources to the "online" market as more and more of you shop electronically.

When in Winnipeg stop in to our store  at 1833 Portage Ave. (about 7 blocks west of the Polo Park Mall). We are open from 9am-5pm Tue-Fri, Sat 10am-4pm. We are closed Sunday and Monday. At the store you will find friendly and knowledgeable staff along with a relaxed pace...no loud music or confusing store layouts, just old-fashioned customer service!
